Founded in 1877, it has had many famous artists as members such as: Frederick Church, Charles Dana Gibson, Emile Gruppe, Howard Pyle, N. C. Wyeth, Norman Rockwell, Augustus Saint-Gaudens, Louis Tiffany, and Stanford White.
