entry requirements 

• Submission window, March 1 - April 20, 2024.

• Apply online through ShowSubmit.com (button above.)

• Entry fee of $130.

• You must be a Signature Member of the ASMA for at least one year, and your 2024 dues must be current before applying.

• Submit 20 images that best represent your current body of work. Images should be no more than 10 MB, and we recommend uploading images that are approximately 5” x 7” at 300 dpi. You do not need to label your images as that will be done when you upload them.

• Sculptors submit two views for each artwork.

• Provide detailed biographical information. Include education, awards, gallery representation, and any art group affiliations.

duties of a Fellow

The honor of ASMA Fellowship comes with the obligation to be of service to the Society. Please read the information below carefully.  Submitting an application means you accept these terms and understand your responsibilities.

• Each Fellow is asked to actively engage in Fellowship activities, such as the annual jury session held in the spring of each year, in which you can participate either online or in person, which is preferable in order to meet and engage as many Fellows as possible

• Each Fellow may be called upon to submit an article regarding their personal artistic techniques that will be published in the ASMA News and Journal. 

• Each Fellow will be asked to serve a three-year term on the Fellows Management Committee (FMC), first year as Deputy Managing Fellow, then as the Managing Fellow, and finally  Post Managing Fellow.  The FMC organizes portfolio reviews and coordinates with other ASMA Committees as necessary.

• Each Fellow is required to exhibit one artwork in National Exhibitions, which are mounted roughly every four years.

• Each newly elected Fellow will be billed $25 to cover the difference in dues between Signature Status and Fellow status.
